Broods are a musical duo from Nelson, New Zealand, composed of Georgia Josiena Nott on lead vocals, with older brother and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Allan Joseph Nott on production and backing vocals.
After arriving in Zadash, Enchanter Pumat Sol cleaned Caleb with magic consistent with the spell Prestidigitation and it marked the first time the Mighty Nein witnessed a clean Caleb, which upset Nott.
Veth, previously known as Nott the Brave, met Caleb in a prison where they were both held prisoners. Caleb used Frumpkin to bring a piece of wire into their cell, which Nott used to pick the lock. Caleb proceeded to set the jail on fire and scream for help. The guards promptly fled, and Caleb and Nott walked out of the jail together.

Caleb, Nott, and Essek completed the spell that could transform Nott back into her original form. The spell ultimately failed, and it was revealed that Nott had had a continuing curse placed on her that prevented the transformation.
