The band reformed in late 1968 for a short period of time, with Danny Phay, the group's original vocalist in its 1965 inception, re-joining the band, as well as guitarist Ned Torney; bassist Bill Flores and guitarist Sean Tolby from the 1967 line-up remained.

Danny Phay – vocals. Phay was well known for his on-stage presence as a charismatic frontman. This line-up quickly dissolved after a number of factors that included the draft; which claimed Rich Young, then the departure of their drummer, Pete Curry, who was replaced by Gary Andrijasevich, a jazz drummer from Cupertino High School.
2 ott 2012 · Dave was not our original singer, Danny Phay was, and Rich Young played bass rather than Bill. Gary played drums with us and we had a keyboard player, Joe Kemley. Ned was already an accomplished guitar player by then.

A new version of the band came together in late ’68 to do this, Mark agreed to rejoin the band on lead guitar, Sean on rhythm guitar, Bill on bass, Gary on drums, and Danny Phay singing.
Tolby and Flores recruited Loomis and Andrijasevich as well as as original vocalist Danny Phay, who was currently working with the latter two in the Tingle Brigade. Completing the line-up was another original member, guitarist Ned Torney.
