Toadies are an American rock band formed in 1989 in Fort Worth, Texas, best known for the song "Possum Kingdom". The band's classic lineup consisted of Vaden Todd Lewis (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Lisa Umbarger (bass guitar), Darrel Herbert (lead guitar), and Mark Reznicek (drums).

25 apr 2023 · Tracey Sauerwein (who shortly thereafter became the Toadies guitarist) gave me the Dig A Hole/Hope You Die cassette and told me the Toadies sounded kinda like the Pixies. I put the tape on, turned up the volume… and had my mind blown.
