Peter Granville Farndon (12 June 1952 – 14 April 1983) was an English bassist and founding member of the rock band the Pretenders.
The Pretenders are a British-American rock band formed in March 1978. The original band consisted of founder and main songwriter Chrissie Hynde (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), James Honeyman-Scott (lead guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), Pete Farndon (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Martin Chambers (drums, backing vocals, percussion).

Peter Granville Farndon. Profile: English bassist and vocalist, born 12 June 1952 in Hereford, England, UK. Farndon played with Cold River Lady from 1974 until the summer of 1976. He then toured with Australian folk-rock band The Bushwackers in 1978.
