18 lug 2017 · July 18, 2017. Mary Lucia and Bill DeVille remember the late Caleb Palmiter, an influential local musician who was a founding member of the Jayhawks and a member of numerous bands, including the Magnolias, the Mighty Mofos, Curtiss A, Bash & Pop, and many others.
The Jayhawks was formed in 1984 by Minneapolis musicians Mark Olson (guitar and vocals) and Caleb Palmiter (bass), [1] with the duo adding Tommy Rey (drums) for its first shows. In 1985 the short-lived trio was relaunched as a four-piece band after Olson recruited Steve Retzler (guitar), Marc Perlman (bass), and Norm Rogers (drums).

Caleb Palmiter. Bash & Pop are an American alternative rock band formed in 1992 [1] by Tommy Stinson in Minneapolis, Minnesota, following the breakup of the Replacements. It released one album before disbanding in 1994. Tommy Stinson reformed the band in 2016 with a new lineup and album.

10 apr 2024 · Finally, the late Caleb Palmiter, who had formed a short-lived, early version of The Jayhawks with Mark Olson in 1984, is here with The Magnolias playing bass on a song he co-wrote. Jayhawks tracks would also appear on Twin/Tone promo samplers in 1989 and 1992.
