Henry Stewart, 1st Lord Methven (c. 1495 – 1552) was Master of the Scottish Artillery and third, and last husband, of Margaret Tudor, eldest daughter of Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York.

Henry Stewart, 1st Lord Methven (c. 1495 – 1552) was Master of the Scottish Artillery and last husband of Margaret Tudor, eldest daughter of Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York. He was a son of Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Avondale and his wife Margaret Kennedy.
In 1548, the Scottish Master of Artillery, Lord Methven, gave his opinion that the battle was lost due to growing support in Scotland for English policy, and the mis-order and great haste of the Scottish army on the day. The naval bombardment was an important aspect of the battle.
When Lord Henry Stewart was born in 1495, in Avondale, Lanarkshire, Scotland, his father, Andrew Stewart 1st Lord Avondale, was 25 and his mother, Lady Margaret Kennedy of Kennedy, was 23. He married Margaret Tudor Queen of Scots on 3 March 1528.
