Plot. Phineas Moody, the head of Moody Comics is in terrible health. His worried daughter Betty calls in two doctors who discover that Phineas hasn't laughed in decades. Betty and her future husband Tim Jones fill the Moody mansion full of a variety of vaudeville acts to make Phineas laugh again.
With Richard Arlen, Ellen Drew, Leonid Kinskey, Minor Watson. Father runs a big corporation but is suffering from a severe case of melancholia. Daughter and persona non-grata boyfriend cook up a plan to have every ex-vaudevillian and dancer on the club circuit that they can find attempt to make him smile. Groan.
