Bersheba Fristoe Younger, born Bersheba Leighton Fristoe (June 6, 1816 – June 6, 1870) was an American woman who was the mother of the famed Younger Outlaws Cole, Jim, John and Bob.
Bursheba Leighton Fristoe Younger was the daughter of Judge Richard Marshall Fristoe and Mary Leighton Sullivan. Born on the 6th day of June 1816 she was married to Henry Washington Younger in 1830 and became the mother of 14 children with only 13 living into adulthood.
When Bursheba Leighton Fristoe was born on 6 June 1816, in McMinnville, Warren, Tennessee, United States, her father, Richard Marshall Fristoe, was 27 and her mother, Mary Leighton Sullivan, was 26. She married Col. Henry Washington Younger in 1830, in Lincoln, Kentucky, United States.
