Harry James rimase in tour con la sua band fino al 1980, diventando la prima “name band” ad ingaggiare il giovane Frank Sinatra nel 1939. Il leggendario trombettista fu anche noto per aver “battezzato” il cantante, anche se tentò di cambiarne il nome in ‘Frankie Satin’, un’idea che Sinatra rifiutò.
