Margery Golding, Countess of Oxford (c. 1526 – 2 December 1568) was the second wife of John de Vere, 16th Earl of Oxford, the mother of Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, and the half-sister of Arthur Golding, the English translator.

After Dorothy's death in 1548, Earl John took a commoner as his next wife. At the time of her marriage in 1548, Margery Golding was at least twenty–two. Margery must have been very beautiful, very sexy, or both, for the 16th Earl married her under circumstances that imply reckless passion.
13 mar 2006 · Then, as Verily Anderson surmises in The De Veres of Castle Hedingham, this same Thomas Golding enlisted his own sister, Margery Golding, to be John de Vere’s wife. The wedding, which supposedly took place on August 1, 1548, was a total secret –unknown even to Oxfords daughter, Katherine, from his first marriage.
