31 ago 2013 · The album starts off though with a track perhaps the clearest indication of what Dave Moore is all about, an immensely gifted acoustic guitar player strongly influenced by Folk-Blues artists the likes of Mississippi John Hurt (who is name-checked on Over My Shoulder) and a warm, rich voice.

Over and Under is an album by folk singer/guitarist Greg Brown, released in 2000 on the Trailer Records label, a brief departure from his normal Red House Records label. The album stemmed from Brown's desire of assembling an all-star band of Eastern Iowa musicians to make a rustic, “back-porch” record.
A year or two earlier he had quietly started writing his own song and in 1990 he released Over My Shoulder, an 11-song collection that has become a cult classic. Moore was in preproduction of his third disc in 1994 when his wife lost a daughter in infancy.
Artist bios. Dave Moore is a Midwestern singer/songwriter who plays guitar, harmonica, and button accordion. He has appeared on many of Greg Brown's albums and on "A Prairie Home Companion;" his solo efforts include 1985's Jukejoints & Cantinas, 1993's Over My Shoulder and 1999's Breaking Down to 3. ~ Chip Renner.
