Ḥarb ibn Umayya ibn ʿAbd Shams (in arabo ﺣﺮﺐ ﺑﻦ ﺍﻣﻴـة ﺑﻦ ﻋﺒﺪ ﺷﻤﺲ ?; ... – ...; fl. VII secolo) fu il padre di Abu Sufyan e il suocero di Abū Lahab dell'altro clan egemone dei Quraysh di Mecca ai primi del VII secolo.
Ḥarb ibn Umayya ibn ʿAbd Shams (Arabic: حرب بن أمية بن عبد شمس) was the father of Abu Sufyan and Arwa and the son of Umayya ibn Abd Shams. Harb is credited in the Islamic tradition as the first among the Quraysh to write in Arabic and the first to stop consuming wine.
A leader of the Quraysh, Harb ibn Umayya, was allied to al-Barrad, but the Quraysh also had close relations with the Kilab, the branch of the Banu Amir to which Urwa and Abu Bara belonged.

A notable Quraysh aristocrat, a wealthy merchant and financier, with hardly any equals in Mecca for intelligence and business acumen. Like most of the Meccan merchants, he was originally hostile to Muḥammad and Islam, but he became a Muslim at the fall of Mecca, and then supported Islam with vigour and enterprise.
