The Greenock Academy was a mixed non-denominational school in the west end of Greenock, Scotland, founded in 1855, originally independent, later a grammar school with a primary department, and finally a Comprehensive school only for ages eleven to eighteen. On 24 June 2011, Greenock Academy closed after a history spanning 156 years.

12 ago 2023 · Greenock Academy ex-pupils hold reunion after 50 years. FORMER pupils of Greenock Academy have given a helping hand to Ardgowan Hospice. Around 40 people who attended the Academy recently got together for a reunion.

Organisers are looking for the year group who would have left the school after sixth year back in 1973, or from fifth year in 1972, to join them for a special dinner being held at Gourock Golf Club.
