Acadia University is a public, predominantly undergraduate university located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada, with some graduate programs at the master's level and one at the doctoral level. The enabling legislation consists of the Acadia University Act and the Amended Acadia University Act 2000.
In addition to the programs listed above, it is possible to pursue double major programs with most subjects offered at Acadia. Popular choices have been to combine Economics with Politics, History, English, Philosophy, a foreign language, or Sociology.
BA With Major in English. First-year English majors should register for. ENGL 1483-1493 - all year. Writing & Reading Critically. 12h of courses from the Arts Core (see below) - fall term. e.g. 3h Humanities + 3h Social Sciences + 3h Language other than English + 3h Science.
