Side C, the first composition (middle) has a stamp defect in the form of a bulge (3 grooves), I have carefully studied this nuisance, this is a matrix defect and it applies to the entire release, to the entire batch.

When the Heart Dances was recorded in 2008 at the California Institute of the Arts, home of Charlie Haden’s award-winning CalArts Jazz Studies Program. Ken Christianson, sound recording master extraordinaire, recorded it using his True Stereo method that gives the listener a live, acoustically realistic experience.
17 lug 2009 · When The Heart Dances features pianist Laurence Hobgood scaling back the typical rhythm trio to just himself and bass maestro Charlie Haden. And while it's hardly the first time the setup has been tried, it works to great effect with these two. The result is mellow but nuanced music.
