The band added guitarist Jeff Vitolo and bassist Allen Brooks replaced Sage. Soon after Roxx Gang created a blues/rock alter-ego The Mojo Gurus. Vinnie Granese replaced Brooks in 1998 and Blades left citing "musical differences" after which evolution into The Mojo Gurus became permanent.

At the end of the 1990s, the band, which now including guitarist Jeff Vitolo and bassist Vinnie Granese, played a birthday party for one of the band members' girlfriends at the Voodoo Lounge. I nstead of doing their usual glam rock show, the band came on as a rockabilly group dubbed Mojo Gurus .
