Here in 2021, the group returned with their ninth studio album, North Star, via Napalm Records on the 26th of February.

Einherjer wurde im Januar 1993 von Frode Glesnes (Gitarre) und Gerhard Storesund (Schlagzeug) gegründet, nachdem ihre vorherige Band Beelzebub aufgelöst worden war. Gemeinsam mit dem Sänger Rune Bjelland und Audun Wold am E-Bass wurde noch im gleichen Jahr die Demo Aurora borealis mit vier Stücken aufgenommen.
