Louise of Valois (c. 19 August 1515 – 21 September 1518), was the first child and first daughter of King Francis I of France and his first wife, Claude of France. She died in infancy, but was betrothed to Charles I of Spain for much of her life.
Louis was present when five-year-old Mary, Queen of Scots arrived at Henry II 's court to be raised as the intended bride and queen of Francis, the future king of France and king consort of Scots.

Louis XI (born July 3, 1423, Bourges, Fr.—died Aug. 30, 1483, Plessis-les-Tours) was the king of France (1461–83) of the House of Valois who continued the work of his father, Charles VII, in strengthening and unifying France after the Hundred Years’ War.
