4 giorni fa · The advowson belonged to the lords of Colne Engaine manor from 1248 or earlier, and in 1998 the governors of Christ's Hospital were patrons of the rectory. The lords presented regularly, except in 1446 when Henry VI presented. From 1988 the church was held in plurality with Earls Colne, and in 1995 the benefices were united.
