12 gen 2017 · LO STRANO CASO DEL DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE: RIASSUNTO. Iiniziamo subito con la trama del romanzo di Stevenson: La storia è ambientata a Londra dove vive il Dottor Jekyll, uno scapolo dell’alta borghesia ed è narrata dall’avvocato Utterson, amico di lunga data di Jekyll.
In an attempt to cure his ailing father’s mental illness by separating “good” from “evil” in the human personality, talented physician Dr. Jekyll inadvertently creates an alternate personality of pure evil, dubbed Mr. Hyde, who wreaks murderous havoc on the city of London.

Lo strano caso del Dottor Jekyll e Mr Hyde è un romanzo dello scrittore scozzese Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) pubblicato nel 1886. L’autore vi affronta in chiave allegorica il problema del subcosciente e dello sdoppiamento della personalità.
Jekyll & Hyde is a 1990 musical loosely based on the 1886 novella The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Originally conceived for the stage by Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden, it features music by Frank Wildhorn, a book by Leslie Bricusse and lyrics by all of them.
Set in Victorian London, the novella tells the story of Dr. Henry Jekyll, a well-respected scientist, and his mysterious and malevolent alter ego, Mr. Edward Hyde. Jekyll’s experiments with a potion lead to the physical and moral transformation into Hyde, an embodiment of his darker impulses.
Synopsis: Jekyll & Hyde is an adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale, where Dr. Henry Jekyll, a brilliant scientist, becomes obsessed with separating the good and evil sides of human nature. His experiments lead to the creation of Edward Hyde, his sinister alter ego.
