Beautiful Life. (2008) ...So the Story Goes is the second solo studio album by Martha Davis, who is better known as the lead singer for the band The Motels .

In 2005 Davis and the new Motels released an independent CD titled So the Story Goes which sold out. Sony Records also released a live album titled Standing Room Only, which was recorded live in 2006 at the famed Coach House Club in San Juan Capistrano.
In 2001, Davis and The Motels' new lineup appeared on the television show Hit Me, Baby, One More Time. She made her first solo album in seventeen years titled So The Story Goes and in 2005 joined Teatro ZinZanni for a two-month run in Seattle. She wrote music and helped create an album for this show.

It wasn’t until 1998 that Davis started touring with her band as “The Motels featuring Martha Davis” and released another album in 2004 called, “So the Story Goes”. They later released Beautiful Life in 2008, and she also released a children’s in 2011 called, Red Frog Presents: 16 songs for Parents and Children.
