The Infantry Academy (ACINF) is a military training center of the Spanish Army located in the city of Toledo. The center is responsible for providing basic training, specialization and training for officers and non-commissioned officers of the infantry branch of the Spanish Army.
The Infantry Academy was established in 1846 in Toledo, where history is ever present – back then it was known as the General Military College. Today the Academy is fully integrated into the town and is an integral part of it by virtue of its good work, knowhow, experience and daily work over 170 years.

In 1907, only 14 years old, he entered the Infantry Academy at Toledo, graduating three years later.
Born in Galicia, the son of a naval paymaster, Franco was educated at the Toledo Infantry Academy before entering the army in 1910. Serving mainly in Morocco (1910–27), he achieved the rank of general and was appointed director of the Saragossa Military Academy in 1927.
