Agnese di Waiblingen (1072 – Klosterneuburg, 24 settembre 1143), fu duchessa consorte di Svevia e margravina consorte d'Austria. Era la seconda figlia dell'imperatore Enrico IV e di Berta di Savoia. Era sorella dell'imperatore Enrico V. Attraverso Agnese si fondò il rapporto fra gli Staufen ed i Babenberg.

8 set 2018 · C’è una leggenda intorno alla costruzione dell’abbazia di Klosterneuburg (Stift Klosterneuburg), documentataci fino ai giorni nostri dal lontano XIV secolo. Protagonisti il margravio Leopoldo III di Babenberg (poi solo Leopoldo il Santo) e la sua pia mogliettina Agnese di Waiblingen, figlia dell’imperatore Enrico IV.

Agnese nacque fra il 1108 e il 1113 da Leopoldo III di Babenberg e Agnese di Waiblingen, figlia maggiore dell'imperatore Enrico IV e quindi, per parte di madre, discendeva dalla dinastia Salica che governò il Sacro Romano Impero fino al 1125, quando suo zio, l'imperatore Enrico V di Franconia, morì senza eredi.
