On April 14th, 1964, Valente held the following telegram in her hand: “Dear Caterina, I hope that you conquer Las Vegas as you are the only one who deserves to! Elvis.” Caterina was on for 40 minutes and she sang 13 numbers to absolute capacity audience including Ed Sullivan and Danny Kaye and bowed off to what could only be called an ovation.
3 gen 2021 · It’s April 1964 and Caterina makes her Las Vegas debut at the Desert Inn. A triumph! Six more times her name would head the billboards of the entertainment mecca, for very successful one- month long main-room engagements.
