Noel Andrew Burke (born 29 November 1962 in Belfast) is an Irish singer, who is best known for replacing Ian McCulloch as the lead singer with Echo & the Bunnymen for the years 1989-1993. Burke's first band was St. Vitus Dance, who released the album Love Me, Love My Dogma in 1987.

Noel Burke. Bow maker. (b. c. 1964) Noel Burke apprenticed with Charles Espey and Stéphane Thomachot. His work has since received numerous awards at international competitions including eight gold medals at competitions of the VSA in 1994 and 1996, the RNCM Strad Cello Festival in 1998 and the Concours Internationaux de la Ville de Paris in 1999.
Noel Burke. Bow maker. Making music. Noel handcrafts bows for violins, viola and cello. He was an apprentice to Charles Espey and Stéphane Thomachot. He uses beautiful materials for his bows. After leaving school in 1983, Noel Burke trained as a clarinet maker in Newark, England, but after a chance meeting in Paris he began making bows.
After a one year apprenticeship he moved to Paris where he studied under Stephane Thomachot for two years. He lives and works in Ireland and today he is regarded as perhaps one of the finest living bowmakers. Winner of 8 gold medals at International Bow making competitions.

6 mar 2019 · Noel Burke can be regarded as one of the World’s finest living bow makers. He studied with Espey in the USA and Thomachot in Paris. He then won every bow making competition around, including six gold medals at the Violin Society of America bow making competition (VSA). He is now often a judge!!
