In Her Defense. Andrew Garfield is a struggling attorney who is having a love affair with Jane (Marlee Matlin). One day Jane's unsuspecting husband comes home early. Jealousy rages, and Andrew accidentally kills him. The police think Jane killed her husband and want Andrew to defend her in court.
