29 gen 2020 · His brand of crossover music has catchy melodies, danceable rhythms and concise solos. "Got It Goin' On" has short spots for three different crossover saxophonists (Jeff Kashiwa, Kim Waters and Marion Meadows) but the focus is mostly on the leader and the appealing ensembles.
The title track, “Got It Goin' On” gets into a slow, funky groove with some nice interplay between Kim Waters on sax and Minucci's guitar. Kicking it up, is the fun, upbeat and funky, “Good Times Ahead,” again featuring Jeff Kashiwa and Steve Oliver in a song written especially for them.
Jeff Kashiwa is an American saxophonist with the smooth jazz band the Rippingtons and one of three with the Sax Pack, as well as having recorded several albums under his own name.
