Blackie Dammett, padre di Anthony Kiedis, è morto lo scorso 12 maggio all’età di 81 anni. Dammett, vero nome John Kiedis, era malato di demenza senile da qualche anno.
Blackie Dammett. Actor: Lethal Weapon. He was married to Peggy - real name Margaret - and they divorced when their son Anthony was young. Blackie has two children - Anthony who was born in 1962, and James, who was born in 1991. He lived in Los Angeles for many years and whilst living there, he changed his name from John Kiedis to Blackie Dammett.

Kiedis's father, Blackie Dammett, was an actor who appeared in over 50 movies and television shows. Dammett also ran the band's fanclub for many years. Dammett's autobiography, Lords of the Sunset Strip, was released on March 31, 2013. Through Dammett, Kiedis also has a much younger half-brother.

12 mag 2021 · Blackie Dammett/ John Kiedis. “Lord of the Sunset Strip” 7th December 1939-12th May 2021. The cruelty that is dementia has reached its inevitable end and Blackie, so sadly, passed away earlier today (12th May). I know many of us here have fond memories of Blackie as the Head Honcho of the RHCP fan club.

Una notizia che ha segnato profondamente non solo i membri della band ma anche (e forse inaspettatamente) i fan di tutto il mondo, che non si sono risparmiati nel commemorarlo.
