Francis Finlay, CBE (6 August 1926 – 30 January 2016) was an English actor. He earned an Academy Award nomination for his performance as Iago in Othello (1965). [1] In 1983, he was directed by Italian filmmaker Tinto Brass in the erotic classic The Key , with Stefania Sandrelli .

Frank Finlay was a British actor who starred in stage, film and TV productions. He was known for his roles as Iago in Othello, Porthos in The Three Musketeers, and Hitler in The Death of Adolf Hitler.
Frank received Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA Award nominations for his performance as William Shakespeare's Iago in Stuart Burge's 1965 film of Laurence Olivier's staging of Othello. He also won the Best Actor Award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
