3 giu 2024 · The VSO Board of Trustees announce that after more than 9 years in the role, VSO Chief Executive, Dr Philip Goodwin will be stepping down from his post in September 2024 to start the next chapter of his career as Chief Executive of UNICEF UK.
5 giu 2024 · Former Action Aid UK CEO Girish Menon has been appointed interim chief executive until Goodwin joins. Philip Goodwin, the chief executive of international volunteer organisation VSO, has been appointed to the same role at UNICEF UK.
Dr Philip Goodwin joined VSO as Chief Executive in March 2015. Prior to taking up this position, he was Chief Executive of TREE AID from June 2010, where he led the expansion of programme work into Ethiopia and Niger, doubling the overall number of beneficiaries the organisation reaches.
