Kavitha (born: 30 December 1979), commonly known as Kausalya (in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industry) or Nandini (in Malayalam film industry), is an Indian actress and model, who has starred mainly in South Indian cinema.
Kausalya (Sanskrit: कौसल्या, IAST: Kausalyā) is the senior queen-consort of Kosala in the Hindu epic Ramayana. She is the mother of Rama , the titular hero of the epic, and the senior wife of Dasharatha , who ruled Kosala from its capital of Ayodhya .
Nandini, better known by her stage name Kausalya, is an Indian actress and model predominantly recognized for her work in South Indian cinema. She began her career with leading roles but eventually transitioned into portraying supporting characters.
