Joan Noele Gordon (25 December 1919 – 14 April 1985) was an English actress and television presenter, of Scottish descent. She played the role of Meg Mortimer (originally Richardson, later Ryder) in the long-running British soap opera Crossroads from 1964 to 1981, with a brief return in 1983.

2 feb 2023 · Noele Gordon passed away on April 14, 1985, aged 65, after a battle with stomach cancer. She had undergone several operations to beat the illness in the two years prior to her death. Tragically, that same month, Nolly had been due to reprise her role as Meg Mortimer in Crossroads , after being lured back by new producer Phillip Bowman.
