Shintaro Katsu (Japanese: 勝 新太郎, Hepburn: Katsu Shintarō, 29 November 1931 – 21 June 1997) was a Japanese actor, singer, and filmmaker. He is known for starring in the Akumyo series, the Hoodlum Soldier series, and the Zatoichi series.
Shintarō Katsu (勝 新太郎?, Katsu Shintarō, nato Toshio Okumura (奥村 利夫?, Okumura Toshio); Tokyo, 29 novembre 1931 – Kashiwa, 21 giugno 1997) è stato un attore, produttore cinematografico e regista giapponese. È famoso per aver recitato nelle serie Akumyō, Heitai Yakuza e Zatōichi.
Shintarô Katsu was born on 29 November 1931 in Tokyo, Japan. He was an actor and director, known for Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo (1970), Kaoyaku (1971) and Zatoichi and the One-Armed Swordsman (1971). He was married to Tamao Nakamura. He died on 21 June 1997 in Kashiwa, Japan.
