Biografia. Di origini inglesi, irlandesi, norvegesi e tedesche, Culkin è nato il 26 agosto 1980, a New York City. Suo padre, Christopher Cornelius "Kit" Culkin, è un ex attore noto per le sue produzioni a Broadway ed è il fratello dell'attrice Bonnie Bedelia.
Culkin rose to fame with his lead role of Kevin McCallister in the blockbuster comedy film Home Alone (1990). The film reunited him with Uncle Buck writer and director John Hughes and Uncle Buck co-star John Candy, who played the role of Polka band member Gus Polinski.
