Russell Durham Comegys was an American actor who portrayed the Hitchhiker in AMC's The Walking Dead.
Comegys was raised in Vidalia, Georgia. He graduated from Vidalia Comprehensive High School and attended Brewton Parker College in Mount Vernon Georgia, a Baptist College, where he took his first acting class.
On July 23, 2017, Comegys was tragically killed in a car accident in Bulloch County, Georgia. He was 45.
