Pamela Isabel Cundell (15 January 1920 – 14 February 2015) was an English character actress. She played Mrs Fox in the long-running TV comedy Dad's Army. She was a descendant of Henry Condell, one of the managers of the Lord Chamberlain's Men, the playing company of William Shakespeare.
Pamela Cundell was born on January 15, 1920 in Croydon, Surrey, England as Pamela Isabel Cundell. She was an actress, known for TwentyFourSeven (1997), Big Deal (1984) and Dad's Army (1968). She was married to Bill Fraser, Leslie Newport-Gwilt and Robert O'Connor.

17 feb 2015 · Pamela Cundell, who has died aged 95, was a character actress best known for her portrayal of the passionate Mrs Fox in the Home Guard sitcom Dad’s Army.
A British actress best known for her role as Mrs. Fox in Dad’s Army (1969-1977), Cundell tended to work in comedy during her acting career which spanned six decades. She appeared in Big Deal (1984-1986), On The Buses (1971), and her final role came in A Fantastic Fear Of Everything (2012).
