Olaf Karl Tufte (born 27 April 1976 in Tønsberg) is a Norwegian rower, firefighter, and farmer. He is a seven-time Olympian, and as a single sculler he was twice the Olympic champion and twice the world champion.
21 feb 2022 · The name Olaf Tufte has become synonymous with rowing for decades, and not just in his home country of Norway, but internationally. Recently retired after 26 years of elite rowing, Tufte is the recipient of the 2021 Thomas Keller medal.
Norsk roer og bonde. Olaf Tufte er en allsidig idrettsutøver og var aktiv i mange idretter i barneårene og ungdomstiden! Først når han var 17 år begynte han med roing og ble medlem av Horten Roklubb. Han viste et uvanlig fysisk talent for roing, og debuterte internasjonalt ett år senere i junior-VM i München i 1994.
