Biography. In her second Olympic appearance at London 2012, Melissa Tancredi was Canada’s second-leading scorer (behind only Christine Sinclair) with four goals. Following that historic bronze medal performance, she took two years away from the national team to complete her chiropractic degree.

In total, Tancredi made 125 appearances for Canada’s National Team, scoring 27 goals and adding 19 assists. Melissa won the Golden Horseshoe’s Athlete of the Year in 2012. She was also named a Top 30 Women’s Footballer in 2012 as part of the Canada Soccer Centennial Timeline.
