Gordon Walter Johncock (born August 5, 1936) is an American former racing driver. He won the Indianapolis 500 twice, and was the 1976 USAC Marlboro Championship Trail champion.

A leading super-modified short-track driver in the early 1960s, Johncock briefly participated in United States Auto Club sprint cars, setting a single-lap record of 17.18 seconds (104.773 miles per hour) at the half-mile Winchester, Indiana, Speedway in 1964.

Gordon Johncock was one of the premier drivers of Indy Cars for nearly three decades, winning the 1976 USAC National Championship, and claiming two wins in the Indy 500. A native of Hastings, Michigan, “Gordy” Johncock began his racing career in Midwestern modifieds and USAC sprint cars.
