Omar Alonso Chávez Carrasco (born January 4, 1990) is a Mexican professional boxer and the one time WBC Youth Intercontinental welterweight champion. He is the son of former three-division world champion of boxing, Julio César Chávez.
The fight was supposed to be on the middleweight division but Omar Chavez was four pounds over the weight limit and was 164.2. Daniel Vega was 158.7 but he normally fights on the super welterweight division giving a two division weight advantage. Cut on the right eyebrow.
