Toshiro Mayuzumi (黛 敏郎, Mayuzumi Toshirō, Japanese pronunciation: [majɯꜜzɯmi toɕiɾoː]; 20 February 1929 – 10 April 1997) was a Japanese composer known for his implementation of avant-garde instrumentation alongside traditional Japanese musical techniques.
Japanese composer born on February 20th, 1929 in Yokohama. He studied at Tokyo University of Art and Music and Le Conservatoire de Paris. Mayuzumi organized the "Three Composers' Group" in Tokyo and was a pioneer of contemporay music in the 1950s.

Mayuzumi, born in Yokohama in 1929, studied from 1945 to 1951 at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music under Tomojiro Ikenouchi (1906–1991) and Akira Ifukube (1914–2006). He graduated in 1951. Even as a student, he described himself as an experimental and adventurous composer.
Toshirō Mayuzumi ( jap. 黛敏郎, Mayuzumi Toshirō, 20. helmikuuta 1929 Jokohama – 10. huhtikuuta 1997 Kawasaki) oli japanilainen säveltäjä. Mayuzumi valmistui Tokion yliopistosta vuonna 1951. Myöhemmin samana vuonna hän lähti Pariisiin, jossa hän opiskeli musiikkia Tony Aubinin johdolla.
