Johann Adolf Hasse (Bergedorf, 25 marzo 1699 – Venezia, dicembre 1783) è stato un compositore tedesco. Fece dell' Italia la sua patria di elezione, dove veniva soprannominato "il caro sassone".

Johann Adolph Hasse (born March 25, 1699, Bergedorf, near Hamburg—died Dec. 16, 1783, Venice) was an outstanding composer of operas in the Italian style that dominated late Baroque opera. Hasse began his career as a singer and made his debut as a composer in 1721 with the opera Antioco.

HASSE, Johann Adolf. Musicista, nato a Bergedorf (Amburgo) il 25 marzo 1699, morto a Venezia il 16 dicembre 1783. Esordì nel 1718, tenore nel teatro di Amburgo. Nel '21 presentava a Brunswick Antiochus, la sola opera che egli abbia composto su libretto tedesco (le arie erano in italiano).
