Ike Clanton, vero nome Joseph Isaac Clanton (Contea di Callaway, 1847 – Springerville, 1º giugno 1887), è stato un pistolero statunitense. Membro della banda di fuorilegge nota come Cowboys operante nei dintorni di Tombstone (Arizona) negli anni ’80 del XIX secolo.

11 nov 2020 · He was shot and killed on June 1st, 1887 near Eagle Creek in the White Mountains of eastern AZ. Two lawmen, Jake Brighton and Albert Miller, were attempting to arrest him for cattle theft at Jim “Peg Leg” Wilson’s ranch. Suddenly, Ike wheeled his horse around and bolted toward a thick stand of trees nearby.
22 dic 2023 · Ike Clanton filed murder charges against the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday after the O.K. Corral gunfight, leading to their arrest and release on bail. After failing to get the Earps prosecuted, Clanton led a group to assassinate Virgil Earp, leaving him handicapped for life.

2 feb 2023 · Brighton fired again, grazing Ike's leg, and Clanton fell from the horse. By the time the deputy reached him, Clanton was dead. Friends were brought over to identify the body, which was then wrapped in a piece of canvas, along with his guns, and buried somewhere on the Wilson ranch.
