David Soren (born April 19, 1973) is a Canadian director, writer, voice actor, and storyboard artist at DreamWorks Animation. His most notable work are TV specials based on the Madagascar film franchise : Merry Madagascar and Madly Madagascar .
David Soren is a director, writer, and actor known for Captain Underpants (2017), Turbo (2013), and Merry Madagascar (2009). A DreamWorks veteran of twenty years, Soren has worked as a story artist on "The Road to El Dorado," "Chicken Run" and "Shrek." He then served as the head of story on the hit animated comedy, "Shark Tale."

Soren was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 7, 1946. He began his career in the entertainment business at the age of eight, and a year later was the youngest cast member of CBS television's The Horn and Hardart Children's Hour.
