Thoroughgood "Thurgood" Marshall (July 2, 1908 – January 24, 1993) was an American civil rights lawyer and jurist who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1967 until 1991. He was the Supreme Court's first African-American justice.
Biografia. Dall'agosto 1965 all'agosto 1967 è stato Avvocato generale degli Stati Uniti d'America, per poi essere nominato dal Presidente Lyndon B. Johnson giudice della Corte Suprema degli Stati Uniti d'America, ricoprendo la carica fino al 1991 [1]. È stato il primo afroamericano a far parte della Corte.
