The Underground Man (Spanish: El hombre del subsuelo) is a 1981 Argentine drama film directed by Nicolás Sarquís. The film was selected as the Argentine entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 54th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

Malgrado l'ingegnosa catena drammaturgica ricalcata dalla trama romanzesca (c'è pure un kidnapping) e la presenza di attori di sicura affidabilità e simpatia (Klugman su tutti, più defilato Hutton), il ritmo e l'impatto sono da tranquillo show televisivo.
