Adventure in Washington plot. US Senator John Coleridge befriends young and tough criminal Marty Driscoll. He tries to get Marty on the right track by appointing him as an errand boy for the Senate. However, when Marty sells classified information to the press one day, Coleridge refuses to punish him himself, leaving it to his colleagues.
