Blades of Courage (also known as Skate!) is a 1987 Canadian made-for-television movie written by Suzette Couture and directed by Randy Bradshaw. The film was released under the name Skate! and first aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation network. It won the 1988 Gemini Award for Best TV Movie.

Synopsis. Lori, a young skater, fights her way into Olympic training. Her coach seduces her with the lure of national acclaim but she overcomes the stresses that face all teenagers and takes victory on her own terms.
Blades of Courage plot "She wants Olympic Gold. He wants her innocence. She'll have to fight for both." In the underperforming world of Canadian figure skating, fifteen-year-old Lori Laroche is the revelation of a major championship. Even though she finished third, she is delegated by the Canadian Skating Federation for the World Championship.
Lori makes her way to Olympic training camp, only to be seduced by her unscrupulous coach. Having succumbed to the pressures of training, her coach and the media, she rises to the occasion and fights back, taking victory on her own terms.
