Skoga är allt en riktig idyll. Det nygifta paret Puck och Einar Bure far till Einars hembygd för att få sig en lugn och skön semester. De har med sig Pucks far, professor Johannes Ekstedt, som följt med på ett villkor: Inte flera mord!
För nu varken lyfter eller går det framåt när Puck Edfelt och kommissarie Christer Wijk försöker lösa ytterligare mord i fina 50-talsmiljöer. Snarare är tempot olyckligvis ännu lägre, manuset stolpigare och karaktärerna mindre trovärdiga än någonsin tidigare.
