Field of Honor ( French: Champ d'honneur) is a 1987 French war film directed by Jean-Pierre Denis. It was entered into the 1987 Cannes Film Festival. [1] Plot. In France, impoverished sharecropper Pierre (Cris Campion) is spared military service when he draws an exemption via a draft lottery.

After an attack by Chinese troops, a Dutch sergeant (whose troops committed atrocities against the local population) finds himself alone in the field. He meets a young Korean woman who tries to save her little brother who is shell shocked.
During the Korean War, a Dutch infantryman is left for dead after a surprise attack by the Chinese but survives with the help of two shell-shocked children.
